What is the Java Platform? Here, let’s talk about the definition of the platform first, which means the hardware or software that work together. Or work separately. Each person does it. When combining the word Java (Java) together with the platform, which means hardware or software running in Java. There are 3 Java platforms as follows
1. Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE) is used for programming in general, called Java applications
2. Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) is used for multi-level programming. (Multitiered), Client – Server, Trail Appliances and programs that support the use in the organization.
3. Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) is used for working on electronic devices such as mobile phones etc.
